Festus Keyamo SAN Clinches Second ‘Minister of the Year 2024’ Award in One Week

For the second time in just one week, the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, has been recognised as The Minister of the Year 2024.
This prestigious honour, bestowed by the Board of Editors of The Sun Newspapers, was presented to him by Ms Diana Chen, Chairman of CIG Motors Limited, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to Nigeria’s aviation sector.
The grand award ceremony took place on Saturday, 1st March, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, drawing a distinguished audience from the corporate world, oil and gas industry, banking sector, and notable political figures.
The event served as a platform to celebrate excellence across various sectors, with Keyamo emerging as a standout figure for his impactful leadership and industry reforms.
Accompanying the Minister at the ceremony were top officials from the aviation sector, including Dr Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, mni – Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development; Capt. Chris Najomo – Director General, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA); Mrs Olubunmi Kuku – Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN); and Prof. Charles Anosike – Director General, Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet).
Also in attendance were key agency directors from NCAA and FAAN, such as Mrs Anastasia Gbem – Director of Human Resources, NCAA; Mahmood Abdullahi – Director of Operations, FAAN; Obiageli Orah – Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection; Debola Agunbiade – Director of Commercials and Business Development; Ayo Olatiregun – Director of Finance; Igbafe Afegbai – Director of Aviation Security; Jensen Asaba – Director of Corporate Services; Henry Agbebire – Director of Special Duties; and Lekan Ladipo Thomas – Director of Cargo Operations.
