BASL Joins Nigerian Red Cross Society as Corporate Member, Strengthens Commitment to Community Welfare

Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), the operator of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), has announced its official recognition as a corporate member of the Nigerian Red Cross Society.
This development marks a significant step in BASL’s commitment to enhancing social responsibility and supporting humanitarian efforts within the community.
In a statement announcing the milestone, Nafisat Adeniran, Head of Safety at BASL, expressed pride in the partnership, highlighting its alignment with the company’s core values.
“We are honoured to partner with the Nigerian Red Cross Society, a globally recognised humanitarian organisation,” Adeniran said.
Acting Chief Operating Officer of BASL, Remi Jibodu, emphasised the strategic importance of the collaboration, noting that it would strengthen BASL’s contributions to emergency preparedness, disaster relief, and community support initiatives.
“At MMA2, we strive to be more than just an airport terminal; we are an integral part of the community we serve. This partnership will enable us to make a more meaningful impact,” Jibodu remarked.
As a corporate member, BASL will actively participate in various Red Cross programmes, including First Aid Training, Disaster Preparedness, Community Health Programmes, and Volunteerism.
This involvement reflects BASL’s broader objective of fostering a safe and supportive environment for both staff and the wider community.
Dr Emmanuel Bassi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, welcomed the partnership, stressing the value of first aid training both in the workplace and in daily life.
“First aid training is not just beneficial in the workplace but also in everyday life. Additionally, members will enjoy discounted rates for Red Cross programmes,” Bassi stated.
Also present at the event were Mr Augu Goji, Head of Training at the Nigerian Red Cross Society, and Temitope Ogunrinde, Head of Business Development/Marketing, who both commended BASL’s decision to align with the Red Cross’s mission.
Reaffirming BASL’s commitment, Adeniran added, “This partnership aligns perfectly with our core values of safety, customer care, and excellence. We look forward to working closely with the Nigerian Red Cross to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives.”
BASL’s corporate membership in the Nigerian Red Cross Society underscores its dedication to being a responsible corporate citizen and actively contributing to humanitarian and community support efforts.
