KLT Command Honours ACG Edelduok as She Assumes Higher National Role in Nigeria Customs Service

The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service on Monday, 1st December 2025, hosted a grand send forth ceremony in honour of Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, E. J. Edelduok, who has been appointed to the management team of the Service.

Held at the Command premises, the colourful event drew a distinguished gathering of senior Customs officers, representatives of sister agencies, maritime industry stakeholders, and friends who assembled to celebrate what many described as a visionary and transformational leader.

In her welcome address, Deputy Comptroller Adedokun paid glowing tribute to the celebrant, describing ACG Edelduok as a disciplined administrator and consummate professional whose leadership left a lasting mark on the Command.

She credited Edelduok with strengthening institutional efficiency, deepening stakeholder engagement, and driving collaborative partnerships that repositioned KLT Command for enhanced performance.

During her tenure as Customs Area Controller, ACG Edelduok earned widespread recognition for improving cargo clearance procedures, advancing strategic cooperation within the oil and gas sector, and prioritising both staff capacity-building and welfare initiatives.

Speakers at the event highlighted these achievements, noting that her leadership combined firmness with empathy – a style they said consistently delivered tangible progress.

A citation read in her honour chronicled her distinguished career, emphasising her years of dedicated service across various strategic roles within the Nigeria Customs Service.

In her remarks, the newly elevated Assistant Comptroller General expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs and the Service’s management team for the trust reposed in her.

She extended gratitude to officers and stakeholders of the KLT Command, noting that the successes recorded during her tenure were the result of collective effort, professionalism and a shared commitment to advancing national development.

The ceremony also featured the cutting of a send forth cake, presentation of gifts, and group photographs, creating an atmosphere of celebration and admiration for a career many described as exemplary and inspiring.
