Air Peace Set to Begin Monthly Commercial Flights to Antigua and Barbados from December 21

Air Peace, West and Central Africa’s largest carrier, has announced the launch of monthly commercial scheduled flights connecting Lagos and Accra to the Caribbean islands of Antigua and Barbados, commencing on 21 December 2025.

The airline said the new route marks a bold step in its mission to expand Africa’s global air connectivity and foster stronger ties between the continent and the Caribbean through tourism, trade, and cultural exchange. With this initiative, Air Peace becomes the only carrier offering direct flights from West and Central Africa to the Caribbean, further cementing its position as a regional aviation pioneer.

According to Air Peace, the Lagos–Accra–Antigua–Barbados route is designed to open new travel gateways for African tourists, entrepreneurs, and diaspora communities seeking seamless access to the Caribbean.

“This new connection is not just about flights; it’s about bridging continents, connecting cultures, and deepening relationships between Africa and the Caribbean,” the airline stated.

The airline’s latest expansion builds on its track record of successful Caribbean operations, including its historic Lagos–Montego Bay (Jamaica) charter in 2020 and the Abuja–St. Kitts & Nevis service earlier in 2025. These milestones, Air Peace said, reflect its long-term strategy to create new frontiers in interregional travel and strengthen its international presence.

To enhance the passenger experience, Air Peace has partnered with Tour Brokers International (Nigeria), Sun Seekers Tours (Ghana), and Adansi Travels (Ghana) to curate exclusive tour packages for travellers to Antigua and Barbados. These packages will offer travellers convenient options to explore the scenic beauty, culture, and heritage of the Caribbean.

Fares for the new monthly scheduled service are now available, and customers can book tickets via the airline’s official website – www.flyairpeace.com – or through accredited travel agents.

Air Peace reaffirmed that its goal remains to make safe, reliable, and affordable air travel accessible to Africans while promoting economic growth and international connectivity.

Air Peace is Nigeria and West Africa’s largest airline, operating an extensive network of over 20 domestic routes, 10 regional destinations, and 8 international routes, including London, Dubai, Jeddah, Johannesburg, Mumbai, and now the Caribbean.

The airline boasts one of the most modern fleets in Africa, featuring Boeing 777s, Airbus A330s, Boeing 737s, Embraer 195-E2s, Embraer 190s, Embraer 145s, and Dornier aircraft, all maintained to the highest global safety and reliability standards.

Through its consistent innovation and commitment to service excellence, Air Peace continues to drive Nigeria’s aviation leadership on the continent and position the country as a major hub for intercontinental travel.
