NiMet Enhances Aviation Operations with E-Flight Folder Training for Airlines

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has successfully conducted a two-day training programme for airline operators on the use of its innovative e-flight folder application.

The initiative is aimed at improving efficiency and streamlining operations to ensure safety in the aviation sector.

The training, held in Lagos on the 13th and 14th of January 2025, focused on equipping participants with the skills needed to utilise the web-based app, which electronically manages flight interactions and delivers flight folders seamlessly to airlines and pilots.

The e-flight folder app represents a significant leap forward in aviation operations, enabling the electronic submission and processing of flight schedules for both scheduled and non-scheduled flights.

By facilitating instant access to flight folders, the application eliminates the delays associated with manual processes, while its integrated feedback mechanism for pilots and users ensures continuous improvement.

During the training, NiMet introduced the application’s features to participants and solicited their feedback for further enhancement.

Airline operators in attendance lauded the agency for the initiative, describing it as a transformative tool that will enable them to execute their responsibilities more effectively.

The Agency emphasised its commitment to leveraging technology to support the growth of the aviation sector.

The training marks another milestone in NiMet’s pursuit of technological innovation and underscores its pivotal role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of Nigeria’s aviation industry.
