Arik Air to Showcase Brand Strength at Inaugural Nigeria International Airshow
Arik Air, one of Nigeria’s foremost carriers, is set to take centre stage as a key exhibitor at the maiden Nigeria International Airshow scheduled for 2–4 December 2025 in Abuja.
The event, described as a landmark initiative of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, aims to position aviation as a critical driver of economic transformation across Africa.
The forthcoming airshow is expected to gather a comprehensive mix of industry players, including commercial and business aviation operators, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), defence and aerospace organisations, government agencies, regional regulators, and high-net-worth aviation investors.
As Nigeria prepares to host what is projected to become one of Africa’s most influential aviation exhibitions, Arik Air’s participation underscores its renewed ambition and market relevance.
For Arik Air, the exhibition serves not only as a platform to reinforce its brand identity but also as an opportunity to reconnect with strategic partners after years of industry recalibration.
The airline plans to showcase its brand evolution, highlight its operational capabilities, and engage with local and international stakeholders, ranging from policy leaders to technical partners within the global aviation network.
Commenting on the airline’s involvement, Arik Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, said the maiden edition marks a defining moment for Nigerian aviation.
“Arik Air’s participation in the airshow aligns with our mission to become a dominant air-services brand, globally admired for world-class operating, safety, and service delivery standards, while continuing to promote Nigeria’s image at home and abroad,” he stated.
Captain Ilegbodu also reaffirmed the airline’s long-standing support for national aviation development.
“We are proud to associate with and support the efforts of the Federal Government in building a solid foundation for the growth of Nigeria’s aviation industry,” he added.
Industry analysts say the airshow – expected to attract foreign delegations, investors, and aircraft manufacturers – comes at a time when Nigeria is intensifying efforts to modernise its aviation infrastructure, stimulate fleet renewal across domestic airlines, and deepen regional air connectivity.
Arik Air’s involvement is therefore seen as a strong signal of the carrier’s commitment to playing a leading role in the next chapter of the sector’s growth.
As preparations intensify, Arik Air affirms its readiness to contribute to the success of this historic event and to strengthen its influence in shaping the future of aviation in Nigeria and the wider African region.
