Air Peace Shifts Regional Flights to Daytime Operations from February 2026
…Airline unveils revamped West African schedules, boosts connectivity and announces fresh regional routes
Air Peace has announced a major overhaul of its regional flight operations, transitioning all services within the West and Central African network from night-time to daytime flights, effective 02 February 2026.
The Nigerian carrier said the strategic move is aimed at enhancing passenger convenience, improving operational reliability, and strengthening connectivity across its growing regional network.
By operating during the day, Air Peace noted that travellers will benefit from more competitive schedules that align seamlessly with domestic, regional, and long-haul departures, particularly from its Lagos hub.
According to the airline, the new daytime structure further consolidates its position as a preferred carrier for travel between Nigeria, West Africa, and other international destinations, while reinforcing Lagos as a major aviation gateway on the continent.
Revised Regional Daytime Schedules
Under the new operational framework, Air Peace will deploy structured daytime rotations across key West African routes. On the Lagos–Abidjan–Dakar–Banjul–Dakar–Abidjan–Lagos service, flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Departures from Lagos will take off at 7:00am, arriving Abidjan shortly before 8:00am, before continuing through Dakar and Banjul and returning to Lagos by 9:40pm.
The Lagos–Accra–Roberts International Airport (Monrovia)–Freetown–Roberts International–Accra–Lagos route will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with the first leg departing Lagos at 8:00am and the final return flight landing in Lagos by 7:25pm.
In addition, Air Peace will maintain daily Lagos–Accra–Lagos services, complemented by additional evening frequencies on selected days, further strengthening one of the busiest regional corridors in West Africa.
Benefits for Passengers and Regional Travel
The airline explained that the shift to daytime operations is designed to significantly improve the overall travel experience. Expected benefits include enhanced passenger comfort, improved schedule reliability and on-time performance, and stronger connections to night-time long-haul flights.
Air Peace also emphasised that the new schedules will better support business, government, and leisure travel across West and Central Africa, while giving the airline a competitive edge over both regional and international carriers operating from Lagos.
The carrier described the move as a major step in reinforcing its role as a catalyst for intra-African trade, tourism, and mobility.
Network Expansion Plans
In line with its Africa-to-Africa connectivity strategy, Air Peace disclosed plans to introduce additional regional routes before the end of the first quarter of operations under the new daytime regime.
Proposed destinations include Douala, Libreville, Kinshasa, Conakry, Bamako, and Johannesburg, further expanding the airline’s continental footprint.
Bookings Open
Air Peace has confirmed that tickets for the new daytime regional services are now available. Passengers can book through authorised travel agencies, the airline’s website, and other approved sales channels.
The airline reaffirmed its commitment to safe, reliable, and competitive air travel, while strengthening Nigeria’s position as a leading aviation hub in Africa.
