Jetour Takes RELY R8 Premium Pickup to Abuja, Targets Fleet and Business Users

Jetour Nigeria is set to bring its latest premium pickup offering, the RELY R8, to motorists in Abuja as part of efforts to expand the brand’s footprint and strengthen its appeal among commercial operators, businesses and premium vehicle buyers.

The automaker will host the Abuja edition of its flagship motoring showcase, The Jetour Experience, from September 22 to 24, 2026, following the reception generated by its Lagos edition.

The event is expected to draw government officials, corporate executives, fleet managers, business owners, automobile enthusiasts and members of the media, providing the company with an opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of the new pickup in one of Nigeria’s key automotive markets.

At the centre of the showcase will be the RELY R8, which Jetour Nigeria describes as a premium heavy-duty pickup designed to bridge the gap between a rugged commercial workhorse and the comfort and sophistication of a luxury sports utility vehicle.

The company said the vehicle was developed for demanding sectors such as agriculture, construction, logistics and security, where durability, versatility and off-road capability are critical.

The R8 is equipped with high ground clearance and a reinforced chassis to support operations in challenging environments. Its All-Terrain Management System also provides dedicated driving modes for mud, sand and asphalt, allowing the vehicle to adapt to different road and surface conditions.

Beyond its work-oriented capabilities, the pickup is designed to provide occupants with a more refined driving experience. Its cabin features a five-seat configuration and SUV-inspired ergonomics aimed at improving comfort during long journeys and extended periods behind the wheel.

Technology is another major feature of the vehicle. The R8 comes with a smart cockpit powered by a high-performance processor and technology designed to support Level 2+ intelligent driving assistance.

The interior is further equipped with a 12.3-inch high-definition touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and remote engine-start functionality.

Jetour Nigeria is also seeking to reassure prospective customers about long-term ownership, with the company highlighting its after-sales support infrastructure.

The automaker currently has seven accredited dealerships in Nigeria, comprising Elizade Nigeria Limited, New Era AutoVehicle Services, Kojo Motors, Germaine Auto Centre, Tab Autos, R.T. Briscoe Motors and Mandilas Motors.

Through the network, customers are expected to have access to manufacturer warranty protection, genuine spare parts and authorised maintenance and servicing facilities.

The company’s expansion comes amid growing competition in Nigeria’s automotive market, particularly in the pickup and SUV segments, where buyers are increasingly looking for vehicles that can combine utility with comfort and technology.

Jetour Nigeria has also received recognition from the motoring industry. The brand was recently named Fastest Growing Auto Brand of the Year by the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA), while the Jetour Dashing won Car of the Year at the NAJA International Auto Awards.

With the Abuja showcase, Jetour Nigeria is targeting both individual motorists and institutional buyers, particularly commercial and premium fleet operators who require vehicles capable of handling demanding operating conditions without sacrificing cabin comfort and modern technology.

The company is encouraging prospective customers and automotive enthusiasts to attend the event, register for test drives and experience the RELY R8 firsthand.
