Jetour Drives Adventure Across Lagos in 128km Africa Expedition
Jetour WMotors, the official distributor of Jetour vehicles in Nigeria, has taken the 2026 Jetour Africa Expedition to the streets and challenging terrains of Lagos, putting its T1, T2 and G700 sport utility vehicles through a 128-kilometre journey designed to showcase their performance, luxury, safety and off-road capabilities.
The Lagos leg of the Pan-African expedition featured a combination of city driving, lifestyle activities, road safety advocacy and a demanding off-road challenge, as participants experienced firsthand the versatility of the Jetour fleet under different road and terrain conditions.
The expedition was flagged off on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from the Jetour WMotors showroom on Adeyemi Alakija Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Eight units of the Jetour T1, T2 and G700 participated in the adventure, travelling through some of Lagos’ most prominent locations, including Lekki Market, the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, Freedom Park, the National Theatre, Ahmadu Bello Way and the Third Mainland Bridge before heading to an off-road circuit in Ikorodu.
The most demanding aspect of the journey came in Ikorodu, where the vehicles were subjected to a rigorous terrain challenge involving uneven surfaces, bumps, slopes and other difficult driving conditions.
The exercise was designed to demonstrate the power, control, durability and four-wheel-drive capabilities of the appropriate Jetour models while reinforcing the brand’s positioning around adventure, performance and reliability.
The Lagos event formed part of the wider 2026 Jetour Africa Expedition, an international lifestyle and adventure initiative created to celebrate exploration, mobility, community and the spirit of adventure across the African continent.
The continental journey commenced in Egypt on July 19, 2026, and involves 12 African countries, with each participating market contributing its own experience to the initiative.
Before the convoy departed Victoria Island, participants took part in a fitness and mobility warm-up session organised inside the Jetour showroom. The session was conducted by professional trainers from I-Fitness.
The expedition also incorporated a road safety awareness campaign, with the Jetour WMotors team distributing safety materials to motorists and other stakeholders along parts of the selected route. Bottled water supplied by Bigi and refreshments provided by Frootaz were also distributed during the exercise.
Speaking with journalists, the Managing Director of Jetour WMotors, Mr Tony Jamal, said the expedition was not only about testing the capabilities of the vehicles but also about demonstrating Nigeria’s importance within the African and global automotive markets.

According to him, Jetour WMotors was selected to organise the Nigerian edition of the expedition as part of the brand’s activities across the 12 participating African countries.
Jamal said the convoy’s route through Lagos was carefully selected to combine the city’s landmarks with different driving conditions.
“Jetour is all over Nigeria now. We have a big trust and we have to thank God that Jetour trusts us as the official distributor. The people appreciate our services and our cars come directly from the factory,” he said.
He described the Ikorodu off-road challenge as a major opportunity to demonstrate what the four-wheel-drive models could achieve under demanding conditions.
“We also showcased the capacity of Jetour, with the off-road experience of the 4×4 models. They have a 2.0 turbocharged engine with Euro 6, that is the most advanced engine, low fuel consumption and high torque. It shows us what Jetour can do,” he said.
Jamal further disclosed that Jetour China had formally appointed WMotors as its official distributor in Nigeria, a relationship that has strengthened the company’s efforts to expand the brand’s presence and customer base across the country.
He said the company was already planning a larger edition of the expedition in 2027, with participants expected from China and greater emphasis likely to be placed on off-road experiences.
“It will be a bigger event in 2027 and it will be more than Africa. We are preparing and people will come from China, especially for the off-road experience. Next year, we will also have new models and they will be shown in Jetour WMotors showrooms,” Jamal said.
Beyond vehicle performance, the Jetour WMotors boss said the company was committed to providing strong after-sales support to customers, including a seven-year unlimited-mileage warranty across its models.
The warranty offer, backed by the company’s after-sales services, is expected to be a major part of Jetour’s strategy to build consumer confidence as competition intensifies in Nigeria’s growing automobile market.
For Jetour WMotors, the Lagos expedition was therefore more than a drive through the city. It was an opportunity to demonstrate the T1, T2 and G700 across contrasting environments while projecting Nigeria as a significant market in Jetour’s expanding African journey.
