Nigeria Customs Releases Final Recruitment List for Assistant Superintendent Cadre

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the release of the final list of successful candidates for appointment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II) in its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.

In a statement issued on Monday by the National Public Relations Officer of the Service, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, candidates were advised to visit the official NCS website and selected national newspapers to verify their recruitment status and obtain details on the next phase of the exercise.

According to the Service, successful applicants will also receive notifications through their registered email addresses and SMS, providing further instructions on the recruitment process.

The statement explained that candidates who receive the notification are required to log on to the designated recruitment portal using either their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness obtained from a government-recognised hospital.

The NCS disclosed that the portal for uploading the medical certificates will be activated on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, and successful candidates will have one week from the activation date to complete the process.

In addition to uploading the required medical certificate, candidates are expected to update their current state of residence on the recruitment portal and formally accept their provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button.

The Service stated that, after completing these requirements, successful candidates should await the issuance of their Trainee Identification Number, which will be communicated within one week.

It added that details regarding documentation, physical screening, including dates, venues and other requirements, would be announced through official communication channels.

The Customs Service urged all successful candidates to strictly adhere to the outlined procedures and timelines, warning that failure to comply with any of the stipulated requirements could lead to disqualification and the forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment.

The Service also congratulated the successful applicants on behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB).

The Comptroller-General of Customs expressed optimism about welcoming the new officers into the Service, urging them to prepare for careers founded on professionalism, integrity and dedicated service to the nation.
