Air Peace Unveils Regional Expansion Strategy, Seeks Stronger Alliance with Travel Agencies
Air Peace has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with travel agencies as it prepares to inaugurate scheduled flights to four new West and Central African destinations, saying the travel trade remains central to its strategy of expanding regional connectivity and driving passenger growth.
The airline hosted a Travel Agency Forum ahead of the commencement of flights to Bamako, Mali; Conakry, Guinea; Douala, Cameroon; and Libreville, Gabon on 1 August 2026, bringing together travel agents, aviation stakeholders and technology partners to discuss the opportunities presented by the expansion.
The forum served as a platform for Air Peace to outline its regional growth plans, engage directly with travel partners and showcase the commercial prospects associated with the new routes.
Speaking at the event, the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr Nowel Ngala, said the launch of the additional destinations underscored Air Peace’s determination to strengthen air transport links across Africa and provide passengers with more direct travel options within the continent.
He explained that the new services would not only improve connectivity between West and Central African countries but also encourage trade, tourism and investment by making travel more convenient and accessible.
Ngala noted that Air Peace had consistently pursued route expansion as part of its vision to build a robust African network capable of supporting economic development and regional integration.
He stressed that travel agencies would continue to play a pivotal role in achieving the airline’s commercial objectives, describing them as trusted partners whose expertise and customer reach remain invaluable.
According to him, Air Peace would continue investing in initiatives that support travel agents while ensuring passengers enjoy reliable services and an expanding choice of destinations.

The National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) also welcomed the airline’s latest expansion.
Representing the association’s National President, the Vice President for the Lagos Zone, Mr Yinka Olapade, described the introduction of the four new regional routes as a significant achievement that would strengthen the aviation industry and deepen regional integration across Africa.
He said the additional destinations would provide travel agencies with new business opportunities while increasing travel options for corporate and leisure passengers.
Olapade commended Air Peace for maintaining its expansion drive despite the operational challenges facing the aviation industry, noting that the airline had continued to demonstrate confidence in the African market.
The Senior Vice President for Sabre Travel Solutions in Central and West Africa, Mr Allen Awosikunde, also praised Air Peace for its sustained growth.
He said the airline’s latest expansion represented another important milestone in its development and would contribute significantly to improved connectivity across the region.
Awosikunde added that stronger regional air links would benefit travellers, businesses and the wider aviation ecosystem by facilitating seamless movement across African countries.
Also speaking, Mrs Funmilayo Ogunsanwo, Manager for Air Commerce at Travelport, said the airline’s growing regional network would generate fresh opportunities for travel agencies.

She noted that the new destinations would stimulate business growth, improve connectivity and enable travel partners to increase revenue through expanded ticket sales and enhanced customer offerings.
According to her, Air Peace’s continued investment in opening new African routes demonstrates confidence in the continent’s aviation market and creates value for both passengers and travel professionals.
As part of the programme, Air Peace’s Domestic, International and Regional Sales teams delivered presentations highlighting the airline’s expanding route network, operational performance and customer-focused products.
The teams also provided detailed insights into route performance analytics, sales strategies and promotional campaigns designed to support travel agencies in marketing the new regional services effectively.
Participants were briefed on the commercial opportunities associated with the new routes and encouraged to leverage the airline’s promotional initiatives to grow their businesses while offering greater value to customers.
The forum also featured an interactive session during which travel agents sought clarification on the airline’s expansion plans, reservation systems, operational issues affecting some routes and future network development.
Responding to questions, Air Peace executives assured participants of the airline’s commitment to improving service delivery and maintaining close engagement with the travel trade.
Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the airline’s Chairman, Ngala expressed appreciation to travel agencies for their unwavering support over the years.
He described them as ambassadors of the Air Peace brand whose professionalism and dedication had contributed immensely to the airline’s growth and success.
He told the travel partners that every booking they made, every customer they advised and every itinerary they recommended strengthened the airline’s position in the market.
Ngala reaffirmed Air Peace’s resolve to deepen its partnership with travel agencies as it continues expanding its domestic, regional and international operations, emphasising that collaboration with the travel trade would remain a key pillar of the airline’s long-term growth strategy.
The forum forms part of Air Peace’s preparations for the commencement of flights to Bamako, Conakry, Douala and Libreville, with the airline positioning the new services to improve regional connectivity, support intra-African trade and tourism, and reinforce its status as one of Africa’s leading carriers.
