Jetour F700 Brings Hybrid Power, Luxury and Off-Road Capability to Abuja
Jetour Nigeria is set to put its flagship F700 hybrid pickup in the spotlight as the automaker takes the vehicle to the Federal Capital Territory for the Jetour Experience Abuja, scheduled for September 22 to 24, 2026.
The three-day motoring showcase, holding at the Maha Event Centre, Area 8, Garki, Abuja, is expected to attract commercial fleet operators, corporate organisations, luxury vehicle buyers and motoring enthusiasts interested in the latest developments in electrified mobility and high-performance utility vehicles.
The F700 is being presented as one of Jetour’s most technologically advanced models in Nigeria, combining the traditional attributes of a rugged pickup with hybrid propulsion, four-wheel-drive capability and a premium interior.
The Abuja event comes as Jetour continues to expand its presence in the Nigerian automotive market following activities in Lagos.
The company is using the activation to give potential customers an opportunity to experience its vehicles beyond conventional showroom displays, with demonstrations and driving activities planned throughout the three-day programme.
At the centre of the F700’s appeal is its hybrid powertrain, which Jetour says has been engineered to provide substantial electric driving capability while retaining the convenience of a petrol-powered energy source for longer journeys.
The vehicle uses the Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM-O system, comprising two high-output electric drive motors and a turbocharged petrol generator.
Rather than relying solely on a conventional petrol engine to drive the wheels, the system is designed around electric propulsion, with the petrol engine serving as an onboard generator to supply energy to the battery.
Jetour said the arrangement is intended to address one of the major concerns associated with electric vehicles – range limitations – particularly for users travelling long distances or operating in locations where charging infrastructure remains limited.
The F700 also employs an 800V electrical architecture and a CATL battery system. According to the manufacturer, the battery can be charged from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in about 10 minutes when connected to a suitable high-speed charging system.
Jetour claims the vehicle can achieve a combined range of up to 1,300 kilometres using its battery and fuel capacity, while fuel consumption can be as low as 1.39 litres per 100 kilometres under the specified test conditions.
The figures form part of the automaker’s effort to position the F700 as a long-distance vehicle capable of serving both commercial and lifestyle users.
Beyond efficiency and range, the pickup has been developed around a heavy-duty platform derived from Jetour’s G700 luxury SUV.
At almost 5.5 metres long, the double-cab F700 has a substantial road presence and is built on a high-tensile ladder-frame chassis.
The chassis architecture is traditionally associated with vehicles designed to withstand demanding operating conditions, making it suitable for applications where durability and load-carrying ability are important considerations.
Jetour has paired the ladder-frame platform with independent double-wishbone suspension, a configuration aimed at balancing off-road durability with ride comfort on paved roads.
The F700’s off-road credentials are further supported by its intelligent XWD all-wheel-drive system.
The system incorporates front, centre and rear mechanical differential locks, allowing torque distribution to be managed across the vehicle’s four-wheel-drive system when operating on surfaces where traction is limited.
Jetour said the vehicle offers about 9.5 inches of ground clearance and can wade through water up to 900mm deep.
Such specifications could make the pickup particularly relevant to users operating in construction, agriculture, logistics and other sectors where vehicles regularly encounter unpaved roads, muddy surfaces, uneven terrain and waterlogged routes.
The company is also targeting buyers who want off-road capability without sacrificing the comfort associated with premium passenger vehicles.
This is reflected in the F700’s interior, which moves away from the basic cabin configuration traditionally associated with utility pickups.
Among the vehicle’s technology features is a 35.4-inch panoramic ‘Sky Screen’ integrated into the dashboard, alongside a 15.6-inch central command touchscreen.
The central display is designed to provide access to vehicle controls, telematics and other functions, while the larger panoramic display contributes to the vehicle’s premium cabin ambience.
Jetour said the F700 also incorporates premium interior materials, aviation-grade acoustic insulation and active driver-assistance and safety technologies.
The combination is intended to make the pickup suitable for both demanding work environments and executive use.
The manufacturer is also banking on its expanding Nigerian support infrastructure to encourage adoption of its vehicles.
Jetour’s authorised dealer network includes Elizade Nigeria Limited, New Era AutoVehicle Services, Germaine Auto Centre, Kojo Motors, Mandilas Autos, R.T. Briscoe and TAB Autos.
The company said the network provides access to after-sales services, trained technicians and genuine spare parts, areas that are increasingly important to buyers of technologically complex vehicles.
The availability of technical support is particularly relevant to hybrid vehicles because their powertrains combine conventional automotive components with high-voltage electrical systems and advanced electronic controls.
For Jetour, the Abuja activation therefore represents more than a product display. It provides an opportunity to demonstrate the practical capabilities of the F700 while introducing potential customers to the company’s broader approach to hybrid and premium mobility.
The Jetour Experience Abuja will include technical walkarounds, dynamic demonstrations and hands-on driving trials.
Visitors are expected to have the opportunity to examine the F700’s exterior and interior features, learn more about its hybrid powertrain and observe its performance across different driving conditions.
The event also comes at a time when Nigerian motorists and fleet operators are increasingly examining alternatives that can reduce fuel consumption while maintaining the range and operational flexibility associated with internal-combustion vehicles.
By combining electric motors with a petrol generator, Jetour is seeking to offer a middle ground between conventional pickups and fully electric vehicles.
For fleet operators, the vehicle’s claimed range, four-wheel-drive capability and rugged chassis could be particularly relevant for operations involving long-distance travel and difficult terrain.
For private buyers, the premium interior and technology package add a lifestyle dimension to the pickup.
Jetour’s decision to bring the F700 to Abuja also underlines the importance of the Federal Capital Territory to the company’s expansion strategy, with the capital providing access to government-related organisations, businesses, corporate executives, fleet operators and a growing community of premium vehicle buyers.
The F700 will share the spotlight with other Jetour models during the three-day experience, giving visitors a broader view of the brand’s product range and its ambitions in the Nigerian market.
As the automaker continues to build its dealer and after-sales footprint, the Abuja event is expected to serve as another platform for Jetour to demonstrate its growing emphasis on electrification, technology, utility and premium vehicle design.
The F700’s combination of hybrid propulsion, extended driving range, four-wheel-drive technology, substantial ground clearance and luxury-oriented cabin makes it one of the principal attractions expected at the Jetour Experience Abuja.
The event runs from September 22 to 24 at the Maha Event Centre in Area 8, Garki, Abuja, with the manufacturer inviting prospective customers and motoring enthusiasts to experience the vehicle’s technology and capabilities first-hand.
