Tantita’s Enisuoh to Chair JustNet Transport Summit as Aisuebeogun, Ogungbangbe Join Discourse
The Executive Director, Operations and Technical Services of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Capt. Warredi Enisuoh, has been appointed chairman of the second JustNet Transport Summit scheduled to hold on October 23, 2026, in Lagos, with key industry stakeholders expected to deliberate on strategies for strengthening Nigeria’s transportation and logistics sector amid global disruptions.
Also expected to participate in the summit are the former Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Dr Richard Aisuebeogun; Chief Executive Officer of CITA Energies, Dr Thomas Ogungbangbe; and a senior lecturer in the Department of Geography at the University of Lagos, Dr Femi Aiyegbajeje.
The summit, organised by JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News, will take place at Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, under the theme, “Navigating Global Disruptions and the Road Ahead: Mobility, Energy and Trade Facilitation for a Resilient Future.”
The one-day event is expected to attract policymakers, regulators, transport operators, infrastructure developers, energy professionals, academics and other stakeholders across the aviation, maritime, road, rail, inland waterways, energy and logistics sectors.
Discussions will focus on the effects of global economic and operational disruptions on Nigeria’s transportation industry, with particular emphasis on infrastructure development, energy security, trade facilitation, mobility and measures to improve the resilience, efficiency and competitiveness of the sector.
Enisuoh, popularly known as the “Double Captain” because of his experience in the maritime and aviation sectors, is expected to bring a security and critical infrastructure protection perspective to the deliberations.
His operational responsibilities at Tantita Security Services, a major pipeline surveillance and security company, are expected to inform discussions on safeguarding strategic national assets, protecting energy infrastructure and ensuring the security of energy supply chains.
These issues have become increasingly important to the transportation industry, given the relationship between energy security, infrastructure protection and the uninterrupted movement of passengers and cargo.
Disruptions to energy supplies and damage to critical infrastructure can have far-reaching consequences for transportation operations, logistics costs, trade and wider economic activities.
The summit is therefore expected to examine how stronger security arrangements and collaboration among relevant stakeholders can help reduce vulnerabilities across the transport and energy value chains.
As keynote speaker, Aisuebeogun is expected to examine the challenges confronting Nigeria’s transport sector amid global disruptions and outline possible responses to improve its performance.
His address is expected to explore transport infrastructure, institutional governance, operational efficiency and the strategic role of aviation in facilitating trade and economic development.
Aisuebeogun’s experience in airport administration and the aviation industry is also expected to contribute to discussions on improving infrastructure management, strengthening regulatory and institutional coordination, and creating an environment that supports investment and sustainable growth across the transportation sector.
Ogungbangbe is expected to provide an energy-sector perspective, focusing on the implications of oil-market disruptions, energy supply challenges and the relationship between reliable energy, infrastructure investment and the operational sustainability of transportation systems.
Nigeria’s transport industry depends heavily on the availability and affordability of energy to support road transportation, aviation operations, maritime activities, rail services and cargo handling.
Fluctuations in energy prices and disruptions to supply chains can increase operating costs for transport companies and ultimately affect the cost of moving people and goods.
His contribution is expected to highlight the importance of energy security and sustainable investment in ensuring that transportation infrastructure operates efficiently and remains capable of supporting economic activities.
Similarly, Aiyegbajeje is expected to bring an academic and technical perspective to discussions on mobility systems, transport planning and the development of an integrated and sustainable transportation network.
His contribution is expected to examine the importance of effective transport planning and stronger connectivity among Nigeria’s different modes of transportation, particularly the role of rail in improving connectivity, easing pressure on roads and facilitating the movement of passengers and freight.
The discussions are also expected to address the need for better integration of road, rail, aviation, maritime and inland waterways systems to improve efficiency, reduce logistical bottlenecks and strengthen the country’s capacity to withstand external and domestic disruptions.
In a statement issued at the weekend, the Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Limited, Mrs Pearl Ngwama, said the summit was conceived as a platform for industry players, policymakers and other stakeholders to examine emerging challenges in transportation and develop practical solutions for building a more resilient transport ecosystem.
Ngwama said the discussions would address the impact of global disruptions on Nigeria’s transportation system, particularly in the areas of mobility, infrastructure development, energy security and trade facilitation.
She added that the summit would also consider the implications of international economic and operational developments for the country and identify measures to strengthen the capacity of the transport sector to respond to emerging challenges.
According to her, the objective is to facilitate robust, solution-oriented deliberations capable of generating actionable recommendations to support the development of a more efficient, sustainable and future-ready transportation industry.
She explained that the summit’s theme reflects the growing interdependence of transportation, energy supply chains and international trade, noting that disruptions in one segment can trigger operational and economic consequences across the wider value chain.
For Nigeria, she said, the challenge extends beyond the provision of transport infrastructure to ensuring the effective integration of the various modes of transportation.
Other critical considerations include protecting strategic national assets, ensuring reliable energy supplies, improving cargo movement and implementing policies that encourage private-sector investment while enhancing service delivery.
The summit is consequently expected to examine how stronger institutional coordination, infrastructure protection, technological innovation and sustainable investment can improve the performance of the country’s transport system and reduce its vulnerability to external and domestic shocks.
The discussions are also expected to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to identify areas requiring policy intervention, improved collaboration and investment to address operational constraints across the transportation and logistics value chain.
The organisers said the second edition of the summit builds on the maiden event held in 2025, which provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss critical issues affecting Nigeria’s transportation industry.
The 2026 edition is expected to deepen those engagements by expanding discussions to cover emerging industry trends, regulatory and policy challenges, investment opportunities and practical approaches to strengthening the sector’s contribution to national economic growth.
The organisers expressed confidence that the summit would strengthen engagement among industry stakeholders and promote constructive dialogue on the policies, partnerships and investments required to position Nigeria’s transportation industry for sustainable growth amid evolving global economic and operational challenges.
