Dana Air attributes flight delays, cancellations to unscheduled aircraft maintenance
…apologises to passengers
Nigeria’s Dana Air has attributed its recent flight cancellations and delays, which occurred on the 25th and 26th of January, 2022, to unscheduled maintenance on two of its aircraft.
In a statement expressing sincere apology to its passengers and guests, the airline said due to its adherence to global safety standards, it could not release any of the aircraft to sustain flight schedules.
The airline, however, assured that normal flight schedule will resume as soon as possible, adding that affected passengers should visit its website and other booking platforms to rebook their tickets at no extra cost.
“The management of Dana Air wishes to apologise for the recent delays and flight cancellations due to unscheduled maintenance on 2 of our aircraft and our strict adherence to global safety standards.
“This standard procedure disrupted our schedule on 25th and 26th of January, 2022, but we are working around the clock to return to our normal schedule very soon.
“Every time our schedule is disrupted, it is usually a very painful experience for us as we know and understand that it affects your travel plans and depletes your trust in the reliability of our flight schedules and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.
“At Dana Air, we committed to retaining our safety record and the high standards we have set towards ensuring a safe, comfortable and uneventful flying experience for all our esteemed guests and we will stop at nothing to maintain this feat.
“Affected passengers are advised to kindly contact our call centre on 01 2809888 or email [email protected] for rebooking options at no extra cost.”
