Air Peace Chairman Allen Onyema receives Vanguard’s Personality of the Year Award
Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman of West Africa’s largest airline, Air Peace Limited, has been awarded the Personality of the Year Award, courtesy of Vanguard Newspaper Awards 2023.
Announcing the award in a statement signed by the airline’s spokesperson, Stanley Olisa, the airline said the prestigious event took place on May 24, 2024, at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, in a night filled with pomp and grandeur, celebrating Vanguard’s 12th anniversary of recognising excellence.
The ceremony was reportedly graced by an array of notable dignitaries, including the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, both of whom were also honoured during the event.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Onyema expressed his profound gratitude to the leadership of Vanguard Newspaper for acknowledging his nationalistic beliefs, innovative spirit, and philanthropic efforts.
“This recognition of my efforts and interest in peace advocacy will spur me to do even more. I am deeply honoured and encouraged to continue striving for the betterment of our nation,” he remarked.
The event highlighted Dr. Onyema’s significant contributions to national unity and societal progress, emphasising his dedication to fostering peace and development in Nigeria.
His achievements have not only garnered national acclaim but have also set a high benchmark for leadership and community service.
