Air Peace Flight Overshoots Runway at Port Harcourt Airport, No Casualties Reported

Air Peace has confirmed that one of its domestic flights, Flight P47190, was involved in a runway excursion incident upon landing at the Port Harcourt International Airport on the morning of Saturday, 13 July 2025.

According to a statement issued by the airline’s spokesperson, Osifo-whiskey Efe, the flight, which departed from Lagos, veered slightly off the runway after making a safe landing in Port Harcourt. Fortunately, there was no damage to the aircraft, and all passengers disembarked without incident.

“The aircraft veered slightly off the runway without any damage. All passengers disembarked safely and calmly, and no injuries were reported,” the statement read.

The airline reassured the public of its unwavering commitment to safety, stating, “We reassure the flying public of our unflinching commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety in all our operations.”

While the incident may have temporarily disrupted airport operations, aviation authorities are expected to conduct a routine investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the runway excursion.
