Air Peace Resumes Full Flight Operations as NiMET Strike is Suspended

…Minister Keyamo Applauded for Swift Intervention and Restoration of Normalcy in Aviation Sector
Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, has resumed all flight operations effective Friday, 25 April 2025, following the suspension of the industrial action embarked upon by staff of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) and other labour unions within the aviation sector.
In an official statement signed by Dr Ejike Ndiulo, Head of Corporate Communications, Air Peace expressed profound gratitude to its customers for their patience, understanding, and loyalty throughout the disruption caused by the strike action.
The airline described the past few days as a “challenging period” and praised its patrons for their resilience and continued trust in the Air Peace brand.
The airline attributed the successful resolution of the crisis and the consequent return to normalcy to the intervention of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.
According to the statement, Hon. Keyamo’s leadership, prompt engagement with stakeholders, and transparent approach to dialogue were instrumental in breaking the impasse.
“His unwavering dedication to the stability and progress of the aviation sector reflects a deep understanding of the critical role aviation plays in national development,” the statement read.
“His efforts not only facilitated the timely resolution of the strike but also underscored his broader vision for a safer, more efficient, and investor-friendly Nigerian aviation landscape,” it added.
Air Peace reaffirmed its commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and top-tier services to its passengers and stakeholders, while assuring that all customer concerns relating to reservations and rescheduling would be promptly addressed.
Passengers with inquiries were encouraged to contact the airline via email at [email protected] or by calling +234-201-343-8133, where dedicated customer service representatives are on standby to assist.
Air Peace is widely recognised as West and Central Africa’s largest carrier, with an extensive network of domestic and international routes.
