Solo driver Pelumi Nubi has garnered praise from the Chairman of Air Peace, Dr. Allen Onyema, for her unprecedented solo journey from London to Lagos. 

This extraordinary feat not only captured the attention of the airline industry but also earned Miss Nubi a complimentary London Business Class return ticket, courtesy of Air Peace.

Dr. Onyema expressed his admiration and gratitude towards Miss Nubi during a special reception held at Air Peace’s headquarters in Lagos on Monday, April 15, 2024. 

Amidst a backdrop of economic challenges, her accomplishment stood as a beacon of national pride, drawing applause and recognition from the Air Peace leadership.

In his address, Dr. Onyema commended Miss Nubi, stating, “You made us proud. At a time when the economy is down, you’ve made Nigeria proud. We are full of joy that you achieved this feat. That is why we said we should acknowledge you. 

“We are really impressed with what you did. You are part of our national pride. We appreciate what you have done and we have decided to offer you a free Business Class return ticket to London.”

Overwhelmed with emotion, Miss Nubi expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the Air Peace management for the generous offer. 

She also took the opportunity to commend Air Peace for its innovative London service, which has disrupted the industry and provided travellers with new possibilities.

Pelumi Nubi, known for her role as a travel blogger and the curator of Oremi Travels, made history with her solo drive from London to Lagos. 

Her journey not only showcased her adventurous spirit but also earned her accolades as the first woman to accomplish such a remarkable feat – driving solo from the United Kingdom to Nigeria.

The recognition from Air Peace highlights the significance of Miss Nubi’s journey and serves as an inspiration to others, emphasising the power of determination, courage, and the pursuit of dreams.
