Air Peace Spreads Joy, Inclusion at Dual Children’s Day Celebrations

…Airline sponsors 40 underprivileged children, supports children with disabilities, and reaffirms commitment to social responsibility

In a heartwarming demonstration of its dedication to social impact and child advocacy, West Africa’s largest carrier, Air Peace Limited, celebrated this year’s Children’s Day with a dual sponsorship of two impactful events in Lagos: the Parkland Amusement Centre Children’s Fiesta and Raising Star’s This Ability 4.0.

These twin initiatives were united by a single, powerful purpose – amplifying the voices of all children and fostering an inclusive society where no child feels left behind.

The Parkland Children’s Fiesta, hosted at the popular Parkland Amusement Park in Lagos, brought together children from underprivileged schools across the state for a lively day of celebration, unity, and pure joy.

Air Peace sponsored 40 children to attend the event, ensuring they enjoyed a day filled with games, music, and refreshments alongside children from other backgrounds.

Also in attendance were major Nigerian brands such as Chocolate City, Mavin Records, and Ryno Auto, yet Air Peace stood out for its focused effort on elevating the dreams and voices of Nigerian children.

At the same time, the airline was also a key supporter of This Ability 4.0, an annual inclusive event organised by Raising Star at The Darlington Hall, Ilupeju.

Centred around the theme “Empowering Every Voice,” the programme spotlighted the talents and creativity of children living with disabilities through various activities including an art exhibition, a fashion and music talent showcase, a dance competition involving inclusive schools, as well as seminars for parents, educators, and disability advocates.

This Ability 4.0 also extended financial grants to support youth-led small businesses and young adults with disabilities, further reinforcing the event’s empowerment agenda.

Attendees included notable dignitaries such as the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, and actress Juliana Olayode, alongside brand representatives from the Aliko Dangote Foundation, MILO, BIC Nigeria, IHS, NNPC, Supreme Foods, and Maltina.

Air Peace’s involvement at both events was far more than symbolic. At This Ability 4.0, the airline awarded a cash prize to the winner of the talent competition and delivered a goodwill message through its representative, highlighting the company’s enduring belief in inclusion, equity, and opportunity for all.

Mr. Ikenna Nnabuife, Head of Marketing at Air Peace, who spoke at both events, reiterated the airline’s commitment to uplifting children regardless of their background or physical ability.

“We believe that every child, regardless of background or ability, holds immense potential. By supporting events like these, Air Peace is reinforcing its vision of a society where every young voice matters, every talent is celebrated, and no child is left behind. We’re not just flying aircraft – we’re lifting lives,” he said.

Although he was not physically present, the Chairman of Air Peace Limited, Dr. Allen Ifechukwu Onyema, shared a heartfelt message, underscoring the airline’s resolve to use its corporate social responsibility platform to uplift the most vulnerable in society.

“Children are the soul of any nation’s future. At Air Peace, we recognise that investing in their joy, dignity, and sense of belonging is one of the highest callings of corporate citizenship. Our decision to support both mainstream and inclusive celebrations of Children’s Day is grounded in the belief that true greatness lies in uplifting the vulnerable, empowering the gifted, and building a future where no child feels invisible. This is our pledge – not just to fly, but to foster hope,” he stated.

Air Peace’s participation in both events reflects its enduring values of compassion, nation-building, and responsibility to the wider community.

The airline continues to lead not only in aviation but also in its commitment to shaping a society where inclusion and joy are shared by all children – one child, one voice, and one dream at a time.
