Altercation Forces Removal of VDM, Mr Jollof from UNA Flight in Asaba

United Nigeria Airlines has confirmed the removal of two high-profile passengers following an altercation during the boarding of Flight UN0523 at Asaba International Airport on Monday, 17 November 2025.
The airline identified the individuals involved as social media personalities Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkman, and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, widely referred to as Mr Jollof. The incident reportedly occurred while passengers were boarding the Lagos-bound flight.
According to a statement signed by the airline’s Public Relations Officer, Chibuike Uloka, the cabin crew acted swiftly and professionally in line with global aviation safety protocols.
They immediately intervened to de-escalate the situation and subsequently deboarded both individuals to prevent any compromise to passenger safety.
Uloka emphasised that United Nigeria Airlines maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any behaviour that could endanger the safety, comfort, or security of its passengers and crew members.
“Both passengers were handed over to airport security for further investigation after they were removed from the aircraft. Once all safety procedures were followed, the flight departed without them,” the statement noted.
United Nigeria Airlines reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a safe, secure, and respectful travel experience across its network, stressing that safety remains its utmost priority.
