Arik Air Resumes Lagos-Asaba Flights, Reintroduces Abuja-Port Harcourt, Abuja-Benin Services

Arik Air, one of Nigeria’s leading domestic carriers, has announced the resumption of its Lagos-Asaba route, effective Thursday, 17th October 2024.

In a statement signed by Adebanji Ola, the airline’s PR & Communications Manager at Arik Air, the airline also revealed the reintroduction of flights from Abuja to Benin starting on 4th October, and from Abuja to Port Harcourt beginning on 10th October 2024.

These developments mark a significant expansion of the airline’s domestic operations, as passengers can expect seamless travel experiences on all reintroduced routes.

The Lagos-Asaba flights, set to operate from Murtala Muhammed Airport Domestic Terminal 1 (GAT) in Ikeja, will run four times weekly, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Meanwhile, the Abuja-Port Harcourt service will operate daily, and flights between Abuja and Benin will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

In addition to these reintroduced routes, Arik Air has increased the frequency of flights on its Lagos-Benin and Lagos-Warri routes to daily services, further solidifying its market presence.

Arik Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, expressed his enthusiasm for reconnecting key routes.

“We are happy to extend our services once again to the good people of Asaba and environs who have been yearning for our services. We promise customers on all routes our commitment to uphold the high operational standards that Arik Air is known for,” he stated.

The resumption and expansion of these flights form part of Arik Air’s strategic efforts to reconnect routes that were previously suspended due to operational challenges.

As Arik Air approaches its 18th anniversary on 30th October 2024, the airline continues to cement its position as a key player in Nigeria’s aviation sector, providing reliable connections to major destinations across the country.
