ASKY Celebrates Fleet Modernisation with Arrival of Boeing 737-8MAX

The Pan-African airline, ASKY, has reached a major milestone in its operations with the arrival of the Boeing 737-8MAX, registered ET-BAT.

This marks the latest step in the airline’s ongoing efforts to modernise its fleet and enhance its services across the continent.

The newly acquired Boeing 737-8MAX is set to replace the Boeing 737-700NG, registered ET-ANG, which has been a key asset in ASKY’s mission to connect Africa since January 2010.

ET-ANG, the first aircraft in the airline’s fleet, has served with distinction, completing approximately 19,286 flights over 26,747 hours.

Its retirement symbolises the end of an era for the airline but opens the door to new advancements.

For the past 14 years, ET-ANG has played a pivotal role in establishing ASKY’s reputation as a reliable and safe carrier, transporting millions of passengers across the African skies.

It was more than just an aircraft; it was a symbol of the bold and ambitious vision to create a Pan-African airline focused on regional integration and enhanced air connectivity.

The introduction of ET-BAT underscores ASKY’s commitment to fleet renewal and sustainable development.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to ET-ANG for its exceptional years of service and warmly welcome ET-BAT, which will help shape the future of Pan-African air travel.”

The arrival of ET-BAT highlights ASKY’s dedication to maintaining a modern and reliable fleet, ensuring that passengers continue to enjoy safe and efficient air services as the airline evolves to meet the needs of Africa’s growing aviation market.
