Dana Air receives prestigious awards for 15 years of excellence in Nigeria’s aviation industry
At the recent Annual Conference of Women in Aviation Nigeria Chapter in Kano, Dana Air, a prominent player in Nigeria’s aviation sector, was honored by the organization for its remarkable 15-year journey in the nation’s aviation industry.
The theme of this year’s WIA conference, “Connect, Engage, Inspire,” set the stage for recognising individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to society.
Rejoice Ndudinachi, President of Women in Aviation Nigeria, highlighted the significance of the awards ceremony, stating, “This year’s conference aims to honor those who have distinguished themselves in society.” Among the recipients was Dana Air, which received accolades not only for its longstanding presence but also for its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Adding another feather to its cap, Dana Air was crowned the Corporate Social Responsibility Airline of the Year at the recently held City Business News Summit 2023 in Lagos, hosted at the Oriental Hotels.
Ememobong Ettete, the Chief Operating Officer of Dana Air, expressed gratitude for the dual recognition, emphasising the airline’s dedication to the conference’s theme.
“Dana Air is committed to the theme of this year’s WIA conference, as always. This recognition is well-deserved and signifies that people acknowledge and appreciate the efforts we make to support our country, communities, youths, women in aviation, our industry, and even the entertainment sector,” said Ettete.
Ettete reinforced the airline’s commitment, stating, “We have no other option than to build our country and see it achieve its full potential.”
With an impressive track record of flying over 36 million passengers in its 15 years of operation, Dana Air stands out as one of Nigeria’s leading airlines.
Operating a mixed fleet of Boeing aircraft, the airline provides daily flights to major cities in Nigeria, further solidifying its position in the country’s aviation landscape.
