Dana Air tenders apology for recent flight cancellations 

Nigeria’s Dana Air has extended sincere apologies to its valued customers for recent flight cancellations attributed to operational challenges. 

The airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Kingsley Ezenwa, expressed regret in a statement made available to TW, acknowledging the substantial patronage and support received. 

Emphasizing safety as the top priority, Ezenwa explained that cancellation of a Lagos-Abuja flight emanated from the cockpit indication, which prompted return to base, aligning with strict safety standards.

The airline said passengers on the affected Abuja-bound flight were provided compensation and various options, including refunds, rescheduling, or alternative flights later that evening. 

Going forward, Dana Air reaffirmed its commitment to safety, promising never to compromise on passenger and employee well-being. 

Encouraging customers to support best practices, the airline assured adherence to recommended global standards, ensuring guest safety across all aspects of service delivery.

Ezenwa said, “The patronage and support from our customers has been huge and we are deeply sorry for the cancellations that our customers experienced recently due to operational challenges.

“While we regret the disruption to their travel and understand the frustration and inconveniences this has caused, It’s important to emphasize that safety remains our utmost priority in every consideration.”

“On the disembarkation of its Abuja bound passengers, the Dana Air spokesman said, ”the Pilot in Command noticed an indication in the cockpit and the parameters were not right for him to take off, so had to taxi back to base in line with our strict safety standards and recommended practices. ”

”Passengers on the affected flight were offered compensations and options from refund, to rescheduling or reprotection while the rest opted to fly later that evening.”
