Ethiopian Airlines expands network with new passenger service to Warsaw, Poland

Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s premier carrier, is set to broaden its footprint in Europe with the launch of four times weekly passenger service to Warsaw, Poland, via Athens.

Scheduled to commence on June 16, 2024, the inaugural flight marks a significant milestone, expanding the airline’s extensive network to 24 destinations. 

Flight ET 764 will operate from Addis Ababa to Warsaw via Athens on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with return flight ET 765 from Warsaw to Addis Ababa via Athens on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Expressing enthusiasm for the new venture, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, stated, “We are truly excited to further grow our presence in the European market with yet another new destination. 

“This development is in harmony with our strategic intent to bridge Africa with the globe while fostering commerce and tourism within the continent. We have finalized our preparations to start delivering a gratifying journey experience to our patrons on this route.”

Celebrating its 78th anniversary this year, the addition of Warsaw solidifies the airline’s pivotal role in the African aviation market and beyond.

As the airline continues to connect more than 60 destinations in Africa to the world, the introduction of services to Poland underscores its commitment to bringing Africa closer to global travelers. 

Travelers can now book their flights to Warsaw via Athens through Ethiopian Airlines’ website or their preferred travel agent, eagerly anticipating a memorable journey aboard Africa’s leading carrier.
