Ethiopian Airlines Honoured with Four-Star Global Airline Award
Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s foremost aviation group, has been recognised as a Four-Star Global Airline at the prestigious 2025 APEX Passenger Choice Awards.
This accolade underscores the airline’s unwavering commitment to delivering world-class services to its passengers across its extensive network of over 140 international destinations.
Renowned as a SKYTRAX four-star airline, Ethiopian Airlines continues to cement its reputation as a leader in customer-centric services within the aviation industry.
The award reinforces its dedication to achieving global standards in passenger satisfaction and service delivery.
Speaking on the achievement, Mr Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, expressed his gratitude:

The APEX Passenger Choice Awards are widely regarded as a benchmark of excellence in the aviation industry, with the Four-Star and Five-Star Airline Awards entirely based on verified passenger feedback. These insights are gathered through APEX’s partnership with TripIt® from Concur®, the world’s leading travel-organising app.
For the 2025 awards, more than one million verified passenger flight records from over 600 airlines worldwide were rated using a rigorous five-star scale.
APEX Five Star recognition is reserved for the top 40 airlines globally, comprising less than 7% of those evaluated.
Similarly, APEX Four Star is limited to the subsequent 50 airlines, representing just 8% of global carriers, making Ethiopian Airlines’ inclusion in this elite group a significant milestone.
The evaluation process is further validated by an independent external auditing firm, ensuring the integrity and impartiality of the results.
This year’s refined criteria highlight the exclusivity of the awards, emphasising Ethiopian Airlines’ position among the world’s best.
