Experts Set for Transport Infrastructure Dialogue as Industry Leaders Back JustAlive Summit

Preparations are in top gear for the maiden edition of the JustAlive Communications Limited Transport Infrastructure Summit, which has drawn significant interest from key players across Nigeria’s transport sector.
The one-day event, themed “Nigeria’s Transport Infrastructure: Innovation for a Sustainable Future,” is slated for Wednesday, 29 October 2025, at the Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
Industry stakeholders, including policymakers, operators, and regulators, have expressed optimism that the summit will provide a platform to reshape Nigeria’s transport landscape through innovation and sustainable policy directions.
The event will be chaired by Mr. Fola Tinubu, Managing Director of Primero Transport Services, operators of Lagos’ Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, while the keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Bamidele Badejo, a former Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation and distinguished scholar in urban and transport planning.
Prof. Badejo, who also holds the LASG Professorial Chair Endowment on Transport Studies at Lagos State University, is expected to speak on the topic “Future of Transportation in Nigeria: Trends, Challenges and Opportunities.”

With a career spanning academia and public service, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (London), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, and a Registered Town Planner, among others.
The summit will also feature incisive presentations from Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), and Dr. Segun Musa, Chairman and CEO of Global Transport Policy (GTP).
A high-powered panel session will bring together industry experts to deliberate on policy reform, infrastructure investment, and the future of multi-modal transport in Nigeria.
Panellists include Capt. Ado Sanusi, Managing Director/CEO of Aero Contractors; Capt. Samuel Caulcrick, former Rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria; Mr. Remi Jibodu, Acting COO of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL); and Mr. Alex Nwuba, President of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Nigeria (AOPAN).

Other panellists expected at the summit include Dr. Chizoba Anyika, National Publicity Secretary and Deputy Director at NIMASA; Mr. Frank Ogunojemite, President of APFFLON; Dr. Azeez, Managing Director of AZ Logistics; and Mr. Frank Kintum, CEO of Transport Day Media, organisers of the annual Transport Lecture and publishers of Transport Day newspaper.
Speaking ahead of the event, Mrs. Pearl Ngwama, Managing Director/CEO of JustAlive Communications Limited, said the summit goes beyond a conventional industry talkshow, aiming instead to produce practical policy recommendations and sustainable development outcomes.
“This is our first attempt, but we have a clear-cut perspective on what a summit should achieve,” Ngwama stated. “It is not just another talkshop but a platform carefully designed to drive robust transport policy formulation, particularly in the area of infrastructure development and sustainability.”
JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News, is a digital news platform dedicated to coverage of core transport sectors including aviation, maritime, waterways, rail, and road transport.
With the calibre of participants and topics lined up, expectations are high that the forthcoming summit will set the tone for a renewed, integrated approach to transport infrastructure development in Nigeria.
