FAAN Launches Acculturation Programme to Drive Efficiency and Excellence
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has launched its Acculturation Program, designed to promote efficiency and excellence within the organisation.
During the launch event, FAAN’s Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, explained that the program is a significant initiative towards enhancing its organisational culture with a view to fostering a work environment where excellence, efficiency, and integrity are the guiding principles.
“Change is never easy, but it is necessary for growth and progress,” Kuku remarked, expressing confidence in the staff’s ability to propel FAAN’s vision forward.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Director of Special Duties, Mr. Henry Agbebire, includes a comprehensive culture change training for all staff. This training is guided by FAAN’s new handbook, “Flight to Excellence.”
To further support this transformation, FAAN introduced “Skyward Shift,” a monthly bulletin aimed at keeping staff informed and motivated.
Additionally, the MD’s Monthly Prize and Award for Excellence and Productivity was announced to recognise and reward outstanding performance among the staff.
Kuku highlighted the program as a testament to FAAN’s commitment to continuous improvement, urging all staff members to fully engage with the training sessions and materials provided.
With this Acculturation Programme, FAAN aims to surpass stakeholder and passenger expectations, positioning itself as a leader in the global aviation community.
In a statement signed by Mrs. Obiageli Orah, Director of Public Affairs & Consumer, FAAN noted the program’s potential to significantly enhance its service delivery and operational standards.
