Kebbi Customs Marks Milestone with First Declaration on Indigenous B’ODOGWU Platform

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kebbi Area Command, has achieved a historic breakthrough with the successful processing of its first declaration through B’ODOGWU, an indigenous digital platform designed to transform Customs operations.
The milestone was recorded on Thursday, 14th August 2025, during a sensitisation exercise organised by the Command’s ICT Modernisation Officers for stakeholders and officers.
B’ODOGWU was developed internally by officers and men of the NCS, with the support of concessionaires under the Trade Modernisation Project, as part of the Service’s ongoing efforts to modernise trade processes.
Speaking at the event, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller CC Nwokorie, described the development as a landmark achievement for the Command.

He expressed his gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for his leadership and commitment to championing innovation within the Service.
“This initiative is a bold step towards the future of Customs operations. B’ODOGWU is not only a revenue generation tool but also a driver of seamless trade facilitation. I urge all officers and stakeholders to pay close attention to this sensitisation exercise and fully acquaint themselves with the platform and its applications,” Nwokorie said.
The sensitisation session provided hands-on training for licensed agents and traders, guiding them through the process of registration and demonstrating how the platform could be effectively utilised to improve compliance and operational efficiency.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Nigeria Customs Licensed Agents, Kebbi State Chapter, Alhaji Muhammad Nahali Kamba, applauded the Comptroller-General for the initiative.
He also pledged the association’s full support in ensuring strict compliance with the guidelines governing the use of the new platform.
