Keyamo Lauds Insightful New Book on Nigeria’s Aviation Sector

Nigeria’s Minister for Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, delivered a profound goodwill message today – July 4, 2024 – at the public presentation of the book – “Nigeria’s Aviation Sector: People, Behaviors Behind the Performances,” authored by Albinus Chiedu. 

The event marked a significant moment for the aviation industry, as the book delves into the human elements that drive the sector’s performance.

Keyamo, who was represented by Mrs Janet Oputa, Special Assistant to the Minister on Service Delivery, highlighted the book’s unique approach, noting that it goes beyond mere statistics to explore the attitudes and behaviors that influence the aviation industry in Nigeria. 

“This work is not just a collection of facts and figures; it is an insightful exploration of the human element that drives our aviation sector,” he stated.

He emphasised the critical timing of the book’s release, coinciding with Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to achieve excellence across various sectors. 

“The value of this book cannot be overstated. At a time when Nigeria is striving for excellence in all sectors, understanding the behaviors and attitudes that influence performance in the aviation sector is crucial,” Keyamo added.

The minister praised Chiedu’s meticulous research, which captures the essence of the aviation industry and provides a comprehensive blueprint for future improvements. 

“Albinus Chiedu has meticulously captured the essence of what makes our aviation industry tick, providing a blueprint for future improvements and a deeper appreciation of the industry’s complexities,” he remarked.

Keyamo underscored the book’s relevance in an era of transformation and growth, expressing confidence that the insights contained within would guide policymakers, industry professionals, and stakeholders in enhancing the sector’s progress.

“The insights within these pages will serve as a guiding light for policymakers, industry professionals, and anyone with a vested interest in the progress of Nigeria’s aviation sector,” he said.

Reflecting on the sector’s achievements and future prospects, Keyamo noted the importance of recognising the contributions of the workforce. 

“By focusing on the people behind the performances, we are reminded that the heart of any successful industry lies in its workforce and their collective behaviors,” he asserted.

The minister also took the opportunity to commend Chiedu for his dedication and the invaluable resource he has provided through his book.
