Nigeria’s Minister for Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo, SAN, has been honoured with the prestigious “Award for Visible Impact in Public Service” by the Nigerian Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA).

The accolade was bestowed at NECA’s annual excellence award ceremony over the weekend, celebrating individuals and organisations whose contributions have significantly shaped national development.

The Nigerian Employers’ Consultative Association, representing private sector employers across the country, recognised Keyamo’s transformative efforts in the aviation and aerospace industry since his assumption of office.

According to the Minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, these efforts include substantial advancements in infrastructure, the enhancement of operational efficiency, and fostering international partnerships to elevate Nigeria’s aviation ecosystem to global standards.

Due to his unavoidable absence, the award was received on the Minister’s behalf by his Special Assistant, Janet Oputa.

Speaking at the ceremony, Oputa conveyed Keyamo’s heartfelt appreciation to NECA for the honour and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to driving sustainable growth and innovation within the sector.

“The Honourable Minister is deeply honoured by this recognition and remains resolute in his mission to reposition Nigeria’s aviation industry as a global standard. He dedicates this award to the hardworking teams in the ministry and all stakeholders who share in this vision,” Oputa stated.

The gathering applauded the Minister’s remarkable strides, underscoring his leadership’s positive impact on Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace landscape.

His tenure has been marked by a focus on transparency, improved service delivery, and the creation of an enabling environment for both local and international stakeholders.

In their citation, NECA described the award as a reflection of Keyamo’s visible impact and exemplary service.

“This award is a testament to his dedication and significant contributions to public service. We hope this recognition will inspire further excellence,” the association noted.
