NAHCO Secures Five New Airline Handling Contracts, Strengthens Position in Nigerian Aviation Sector

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Aviance), one of the nation’s foremost aviation support providers, has announced the successful signing of multiple ground handling and warehousing contracts with five airlines, further consolidating its position as a leading player in Nigeria’s aviation industry.
In a statement released this week, NAHCO revealed that it had entered into a five-year agreement with Royal Air Maroc for cargo freighter and cargo warehousing services at both Lagos and Abuja airports.
This new contract runs until November 2029 and adds to an existing operational agreement between the Moroccan national carrier and NAHCO, which covers other aspects of its operations across Nigeria.
Similarly, the company disclosed the renewal of its partnership with Kenya Airways for another five-year term. The contract encompasses ground handling for both passenger and cargo operations, including any future expansions the airline may undertake within the country during the contract period.
Dornier Aviation has also signed on with NAHCO in a three-year deal that spans multiple Nigerian airports, including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja and Osubi. The agreement covers the handling of passenger flights across these key locations.
Enugu Air, a new entrant into the domestic aviation market, has opted to partner with NAHCO for its passenger flight operations nationwide. The five-year agreement sees the airline leveraging NAHCO’s 46 years of ground handling expertise across all its Nigerian routes.
In addition, Cronos Airlines renewed its existing agreement with the handling company. The updated three-year contract covers the airline’s passenger operations in both Lagos and Port Harcourt.
According to NAHCO, these recent partnerships reflect a growing preference among both international and domestic carriers for its comprehensive and reliable ground handling services.
Earlier this year, NAHCO had announced similar deals with regional airlines, Afrijet and Air Sierra Leone, aimed at streamlining their ground operations in Nigeria.
Expressing his satisfaction, Prince Saheed Lasisi, Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development at NAHCO Plc, described the string of new and renewed contracts as a positive development for the company and its partners.
“This is truly very good for NAHCO and the airlines we have signed these contracts with. When the client’s aircraft is on ground, there is just one company that can take care of its operations like her very own. That company is NAHCO. This fact is not lost on airline operators. Those who want the best service will always come to us,” Lasisi stated.
Group Managing Director of NAHCO Plc, Mr. Olumuyiwa Olumekun, echoed these sentiments, affirming that the development is indicative of brighter prospects for the company. He assured clients and stakeholders of NAHCO’s unwavering commitment to continuous operational improvements and excellence.
With these new agreements, NAHCO continues to demonstrate its strategic relevance and operational competence in providing world-class aviation support services in Nigeria.
