NAMA Affirms Full Functionality of Free Wi-Fi Services at Lagos Airport
The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has confirmed the operational efficiency of its free Wi-Fi services at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, following a recent inspection tour led by its Managing Director, Engr Umar Ahmed Farouk.
The inspection, which involved a team of NAMA technical staff, was conducted to evaluate the performance of the agency’s communication services within the airport.
Speaking during the tour, Engr Farouk expressed satisfaction with the functionality of the Wi-Fi service, which he described as robust and effective.
“I am very delighted with what we have seen here today in Lagos. Our free Wi-Fi service is working perfectly and optimally in every nook and cranny of the airport,” Farouk remarked.
He further revealed that feedback from passengers and airport staff had been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to enhancing passenger experience.
The Managing Director also assured the public that efforts were underway to extend Wi-Fi services to all five major airports in Nigeria.
“We are working hard to ensure the availability of free Wi-Fi services at these key locations, as part of our mandate to provide seamless communication and enhance the convenience of air travel in Nigeria,” he said.
Engr Farouk urged passengers at MMIA to connect to the free Wi-Fi by logging onto the SSID: FREE AIRPORT WIFI NAMA/NCC.
He reiterated that NAMA’s mission extends beyond ensuring safe air navigation, highlighting the agency’s dedication to passenger comfort and satisfaction at Nigerian airport terminals.
The inspection, according to Abdullahi Musa, Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at NAMA, was part of the Agency’s drive to improve airport infrastructure and align with global standards, reflecting its determination to deliver world-class services to air travellers across the country.
