NASHCO Hair Creativity Competition 2024 Finals Ignite Aspirations as State Champions Emerge

The finals of the NASHCO Hair Creativity Competition 2024, an eagerly anticipated event, have taken the creative hairdressing world by storm, inspiring hope and ambition among participants across several states.

The competition, which took place in Anambra, Delta, and Edo States, offered a platform for talented hairstylists to showcase their creativity and finesse, even as the overall turnout was less than expected.

Partnering with Darling, NASHCO had hoped for a grander representation at the finals, but despite the initial excitement and promising preliminary rounds, the turnout was somewhat subdued, particularly from those who had qualified during earlier stages.

Nonetheless, the competition proceeded with elegance, ensuring that it ended on a positive and motivating note for both participants and the audience.

In Anambra State, the finals were closely contested, but it was Ms Ogechukwu Amanze who triumphed, emerging as the state champion.

Her exceptional skills set her apart from the competition, securing her first place amidst strong contenders.

Following closely were the second and third-place winners, who also put up commendable performances.

While the turnout may have been less than anticipated, the atmosphere was one of celebration, with participants and spectators alike buoyed by the spirit of the competition.

Delta State’s finals witnessed a slightly different dynamic. Mrs Erunai Nfiru claimed the first prize with a stunning display of hair artistry, easily outshining the other contestants who struggled to meet the high standards required to secure victory.

The remaining participants, while unable to clinch the top prize, were still awarded second and third positions, adding a sense of achievement to their efforts.

Edo State, however, proved to be the most competitive of the three. Ms Janet Nadum emerged as the victor in a closely fought contest, with Abigail Godwin and Ireahe taking second and third places, respectively.

The fierce competition in Edo State marked a noticeable improvement from the challenges encountered at the state-level preliminaries, showcasing the exceptional talent within the region and the growing excitement surrounding the competition.

The NASHCO Hair Creativity Competition, which commenced in June 2024, has travelled across 14 states, culminating in an exciting final round that saw the winners receiving an array of valuable prizes.

First-place champions were rewarded with a 2.5 KVA generator, an essential tool for any aspiring hairstylist looking to build a successful business.

Second-place winners were awarded suspended hair dryers, while third-place contestants took home hair curlers, dryers, and straighteners, providing them with the equipment to further their careers in hairdressing.

Numerous consolation prizes were also distributed, ensuring that no participant left empty-handed.

As the curtains fall on the finals in Anambra, Delta, and Edo States, preparations are already underway for other states to host their own NASHCO Hair Creativity final events.

With the competition proving to be a platform for rising stars in the hairstyling industry, there is growing anticipation for future editions.

While challenges such as turnout and performance standards have emerged during this year’s series, the NASHCO competition has undeniably ignited aspirations and fostered talent among hairstylists, leaving no doubt that the event will continue to grow in stature and significance across the country.
