NCAA collaborates with FAAN, others to tame insecurity at airports
In reaction to the recent security breach at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has enjoined the Aviation Security personnel of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and other relevant agencies to synergize efforts in strengthening security at the nation’s airports.
In a statement signed by the General Manager, Public Relations, NCAA, Mr. Sam Adurogboye, the authority said effective collaboration with other agencies is necessary to check insecurity at the airports and prevent future occurrence of the MMIA incident.
It said, “After a review of the preliminary report submitted by FAAN to the Authority and further investigation by NCAA, FAAN has been advised to provide additional security patrol vehicles at the airside.
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and other relevant agencies will continue to work together towards ensuring adequate security at all the nation’s airports.”
