NCAA Contact Staff Laud Management for Extending PR Pep Talk to Regional Offices

…Seek Regular Training, Recruitment of More Hands, and Digital Security Enhancements
The contact staff of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have expressed deep appreciation to the management of the Authority for extending its Public Relations Pep Talk to regional offices across the country, describing the initiative as timely, enriching, and morale-boosting.
The capacity-building workshop, themed “Character and Relationship for Maximum Productivity”, was held at the NCAA’s Port Harcourt, Kaduna, and Kano Regional Offices.
The training, conceptualised and facilitated by Mr. Sam Adurogboye, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SAPTCO Public Relations, was previously organised for cleaners and security personnel at the NCAA Headquarters in Abuja and the Lagos Regional Office.
Under the current management, the programme was approved for extension to other regional offices as part of the Authority’s commitment to continuous staff development, enhanced service delivery, and frontline engagement.
Participants commended the management’s proactive step, describing the workshop as an engaging and impactful experience. The sessions employed PowerPoint presentations and open discussions to ensure effective assimilation and active participation.
The training focused on the strategic role of contact staff as the first line of interaction between the NCAA and its publics, highlighting the importance of professional reception, proper dressing, and understanding the Authority’s mission, vision, and operational structure.

Other modules included the reinforcement of NCAA’s core values – professionalism, honesty, integrity, honour, and respect – as well as the importance of teamwork, punctuality, courtesy, and accountability in the workplace.
Participants were also sensitised on discouraging negative behaviours such as truancy, laziness, theft, and leaking of official information.
In addition to commending the Director General of NCAA, Captain Chris Najomo, for the training initiative and the recent upward review of salaries and emoluments, the contact staff urged the management to make the programme a regular exercise to sustain productivity gains.
They also requested the recruitment of additional personnel to ease the existing workload and called for thorough background checks on all outsourced staff, including those from handling companies and the Nigerian Legion.
Furthermore, participants advocated for the administration of an oath of secrecy for outsourced personnel to protect sensitive information, the extension of the pep talk to all NCAA staff, and the adoption of digital security systems to enhance workplace safety.
The training featured lively interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions. Participants, inspired by the sense of unity fostered by the event, requested approval to wear their branded training T-shirts as official attire every Wednesday, symbolising teamwork and shared identity.
Mr. Adurogboye, in his closing remarks, commended the enthusiasm of the participants and reaffirmed that the initiative reflected NCAA’s commitment to nurturing a motivated, disciplined, and professional workforce capable of projecting the Authority’s image positively to the public.
