NCAA Marks 25th Anniversary with Symposium, Gala Nite

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is set to commemorate its 25th anniversary with a grand celebration featuring a symposium and a Gala Nite on 15 February 2025.

Since its establishment, the regulatory authority has consistently upheld its statutory responsibilities, ensuring safety oversight, economic regulation, and air navigation reliability in alignment with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs).

The milestone event will take place at the prestigious Continental Hotel, Abuja, formerly Sheraton Hotel and Towers, as the NCAA reflects on its achievements and charts a course for the future.

The symposium, themed “Enhancing Cost Recovery Capabilities and Administrative Efficiency,” will provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss pivotal issues shaping the financial sustainability of the Authority.

The Aviation Finance and Revenue Assurance Summit will focus on revenue generation, NCAA funding, the provision of essential regulatory services, and the policy of cost recovery.

Recognising the critical role of financing in effective regulation, experts from the aviation and finance sectors will offer insights and strategic recommendations.

Key presentations at the symposium will include:

“Overview of Cost Recovery Operations in NCAA” – delivered by Mr Godwin Ameh, Deputy General Manager, Cost Recovery, NCAA.

“Improving Operational Regulatory Environment Through Collaboration and Synergy: Financial Management Imperative” – presented by Dr Michael U. Awa.

“Sustainable Partnership for Efficient Working Management and Optimal Cost Recovery: A Regulatory Dialogue” – discussed by Dr Olufemi Sunkanmi Falaye.

The event will culminate in a Gala Nite, celebrating the NCAA’s milestones and its commitment to fostering a safer, more efficient, and financially sustainable aviation industry in Nigeria.

As the Authority looks ahead to the next 25 years, the symposium and celebrations will set the stage for a golden era of aviation regulation.
