NCAA Presents AOC to MCM Jets, Paving Way for Non-Scheduled Flight Operations
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has formally issued an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to MCM Jets Limited, granting the aviation company approval to commence non-scheduled flight operations within the country.
The certificate was presented on 5 December 2025 during a brief but significant ceremony held at the NCAA Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
The event marked the culmination of a rigorous certification process that assessed the airline’s operational readiness, safety management systems, personnel competence, and overall regulatory compliance.
Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Captain Chris Najomo, applauded the MCM Jets team for their diligence and unwavering commitment to meeting all regulatory requirements. He noted that the company’s adherence to standards was instrumental in securing the AOC.
Captain Najomo highlighted the Authority’s ongoing reforms – ranging from simplified certification processes to the adoption of digital innovations – designed to enhance efficiency without compromising safety.

He stated that the issuance of the AOC reflected the NCAA’s steadfast dedication to ensuring that only qualified, safety-conscious operators are allowed to function within Nigeria’s airspace.
“This certificate is not just an approval; it is a testament to the NCAA’s commitment to upholding the highest levels of safety and professionalism in the aviation sector,” he said.
In his remarks, Director of MCM Jets, Mr Jide Ogundare, expressed profound appreciation to the NCAA for its professionalism and guidance throughout the certification process.
He reaffirmed the company’s resolve to operate with excellence, stressing that MCM Jets is fully committed to maintaining top-tier safety standards and delivering exceptional customer service as it begins operations.
