Nigeria Aviation Sector Gears Up for Webinar on Implications of New Tax Act, Keyamo to Deliver Keynote

Aviation & Allied Business Publications, publishers of Africa’s foremost air transport development magazine, has announced plans to host the first Aviation Industry Enlightenment Webinar in collaboration with the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS).

The event, scheduled for 11 September 2025, will examine the recently passed Nigeria Tax Act, 2025, and its implications for the aviation sector.

The Webinar will bring together key stakeholders across the aviation and allied industries to deliberate on how the new tax framework will affect operations and investment within the sector.

Speaking on the significance of the initiative, Capt. Edward Boyo, Publisher of Aviation & Allied Business Publications and convener of the Webinar, said:

“Today, there are different opinions in the industry about the new Tax Act and how it will affect the industry. This Webinar, being held in partnership with the Nigeria Revenue Service, offers a unique opportunity for the aviation industry to be informed, brainstorm and drive conversations on how the new tax regime would impact businesses in the sector.”

The programme will feature presentations from experts in taxation and aviation, with officials of the Nigeria Revenue Service leading discussions on the Act.

The highlight of the event will be the keynote address to be delivered by the Honourable Minister of Aviation & Aerospace Development, Barrister Festus Keyamo, SAN.

Capt. Boyo further commended the Ministry of Aviation & Aerospace Development for its ongoing efforts to reposition the industry.

“The aviation sector is an enabler of economic development all over the world. We commend the current leadership of the Ministry under Barrister Keyamo for its efforts to reposition the aviation industry in Nigeria. Support for the aviation sector is a support to other sectors dependent on aviation,” he noted.

For over three decades, Aviation & Allied Business Publications has played a central role in shaping discourse within Africa’s aviation industry. Through its flagship journal, the publication has consistently championed initiatives to foster the development of air transport in Nigeria and across the continent.
