Nigeria Customs Launches Probe into Alleged Maltreatment of Civilians in Viral Video
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Seme Area Command has initiated a thorough investigation following a viral video showing officers allegedly maltreating civilians along the Lagos-Abidjan Corridor.
The incident has sparked widespread concern, with the Command pledging swift action to address the situation.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Superintendent Hussaini Abdullahi, the NCS expressed deep empathy for those affected by the incident and unequivocally condemned the officers’ behaviour.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to fostering a safe and conducive environment for legitimate trade and cooperation.
