Nigeria: New Managing Director takes charge at FAAN

Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku has assumed the role of Managing Director/Chief Executive (MD/CE), Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), succeeding Mr. Kabir Yusuf Mohammed who was recently relieved of his appointment by President Bola Tinubu.

The transition of leadership was marked earlier today – Thursday December 14, 2023 – by a handover ceremony held at FAAN’s Operational Headquarters in Lagos.

During the ceremony, Mr. Kabir Mohammed took a moment to express his gratitude to the entire staff of FAAN for their cooperation and support throughout his tenure as Chief Executive. 

He acknowledged the collaborative efforts that contributed to the organisation’s success under his leadership.

Mr. Mohammed urged the FAAN staff to extend their full support to the new Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku, emphasising the importance of unity to achieve the organisation’s objectives. 

The call for continued collaboration underscores the seamless transition of leadership and the commitment to maintaining FAAN’s operational excellence.

Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku, the newly appointed MD/CE, is expected to bring her wealth of experience to the forefront as she takes charge of FAAN.
