Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman Clinches 2024 Ballon d’Or Nomination After Europa League Heroics
Super Eagles and Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman, has earned a prestigious nomination for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award, following his standout performance in the Europa League final.
Lookman’s stunning hat-trick led Atalanta to a memorable victory over Bayer Leverkusen, securing him a spot on the coveted award list, alongside some of the world’s best players.
The Ballon d’Or, one of football’s most esteemed individual honours, will be awarded at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on 28 October 2024.
Lookman joins an elite group of nominees for the men’s Player of the Year award, including Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr, Manchester City midfielder Rodri, and Barcelona’s rising star Lamine Yamal.
