Ogun State NASHCO Hair Creativity Competition Displays Fantastic Talent 

The NASHCO Hair Creativity Competition in Ogun State has lived up to its expectations, with stylists and models showcasing a dazzling finish at each venue. 

The three day event highlighted the hairstyling prowess of stylists leaving both the audience and organizers impressed.

The competition kicked off on the 7th of October at Abigail Omotayo Event Centre, Ifo. Day two followed on the 8th of October at Victory Hall, Ilaro Road, Owode, while day three took place on the 10th of October at Methodist Church Hall, Ijoku, Sagamu all in Ogun state.

No doubt, each day’s excitement reached a peak with the stylists and their models showcasing uncommonly inventive hairstyles that wowed the audience.

Mrs Angela Akande, President of NASHCO, in her welcome address expressed delight at the turnout and encouraged Stylists to fully engage in the event, emphasizing that the objective of the competition is to foster growth and self – reliance in the industry. 

Charlotte, the Kanekalon representative, during workshop sessions,  spoke to stylists on the qualities of X-pression braids and also introduced them to Ruwa Braids, a premium version of X-pression hair. 

She reminded stylists of the edge they could gain using X- Pression hair in their craft that Kanekalon products stand out for its quality, superior texture, flame retardant and waterproof properties during the enlightenment sessions which proved to be a key learning moment for the stylists. 

Mr Godwin Oghenechuko, NASHCO’s National Secretary, who was impressed by the artistry on display reassured stylists that the winners would represent their areas at the State finals, where the very best in hairstyling would be celebrated. 

He urged stylists to give their all in the competition in view of the finals around the corner. 

Oghenechuko, on behalf of the NASHCO exco, promised a fair and transparent selection process, assuring the contestants that the event was designed to nurture their talents and support their trade in the industry.

Many were able to deepen their knowledge of Kanekalon products, while participating in the question – and- answer segment, and those who responded correctly were rewarded with gifts of X-pression products, which further fueled the competitive spirit.

The NASHCO Hair Creativity Competition has undoubtedly proven to be a platform for showcasing artistic talent, with Ogun State stylists taking the charge to showcase hairstyling excellence.
