Online Registration Opens for 4th Edition of Cycling Lagos, Nigeria’s Premier Biking Event

Organisers of Cycling Lagos, the country’s largest and most celebrated cycling event, have officially announced the commencement of online registration for its fourth edition, which is slated to take place on Saturday, 31 May 2025.
This year’s event carries the theme “Sustainable Energy”, reflecting a growing emphasis on environmentally conscious sporting activities.
Speaking in Lagos, the Convener and Managing Director of BrandEscort Communications, Bamidele Adeleye, confirmed that registration is now live via the official website: www.cyclinglagos.com.
He urged interested participants across Nigeria to take advantage of the free registration process.
“As we gear up for the 4th edition of Cycling Lagos, we are committed to delivering a bigger, better, and more exciting experience. Registration is free, but participants must have a bicycle and a helmet. Organisers will provide event jerseys for all registered cyclists,” Adeleye stated.
He further encouraged early registration, stressing that slots are limited and demand is expected to be high, given the event’s increasing popularity.
The 2025 edition will feature five competitive categories, including professionals, celebrities, children, corporate teams, and amateurs. Notably, the children’s race will run concurrently with the main event at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
Cycling Lagos continues to grow in stature as not only a sports competition but also a lifestyle campaign.
The event was conceived to promote cycling as a mainstream sporting activity and to inspire a health-conscious culture among Nigerians by encouraging them to adopt cycling as a part of their daily routines.
Moreover, the event serves as a strategic platform to spotlight Lagos as a vibrant and modern African city with immense potential for tourism and investment. It draws thousands of cycling enthusiasts and spectators annually, contributing to the city’s global visibility.
The initiative is held with the support of the Lagos State Sports Commission and the Lagos State Cycling Association, reflecting the government’s commitment to grassroots sports development and sustainable urban mobility.
Registration for this year’s edition closes on Monday, 26 May 2025.
