Onne Customs Command Honoured for Outstanding Anti-Smuggling Efforts at CGC Awards Gala

In recognition of its exceptional anti-smuggling efforts, the Area II Command, Onne, has been awarded the prestigious accolade for “Best in Anti-Smuggling Activities” at the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Award and Gala Night.

The award acknowledges the Command’s pivotal role in safeguarding lives through the interception of arms, ammunition, and illicit drugs.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Mohammed Babandede, attributed the achievement to collective dedication and teamwork within the Command.

“This accomplishment is a testament to the hard work and commitment of every officer and man in the Command. I could not have achieved this alone without their relentless efforts to ensure public health and the safety of lives,” Babandede remarked.

The Comptroller expressed heartfelt gratitude to his team for their unwavering contributions toward creating a safer nation.

He further emphasised that the Command’s success underscores the Nigerian Customs Service’s commitment to protecting citizens from the devastating consequences of smuggling activities.
