…As Comptroller Adebisi Stresses Importance of Collaboration in Line with CGC’s Mandate

The Customs Area Controller of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Command, Comptroller Olu Emmanuel Adebisi, today played host to His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, during a familiarisation visit to the Command’s office complex located off Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, Abuja.

According to a statement signed by Jude Tavershima Ansha, Deputy Superintendent of Customs and Public Relations Officer, FCT Area Command, the Ooni’s visit was aimed at assessing the contributions and achievements of Comptroller Adebisi, whom he described as “one of his sons.”

Speaking during the event, the revered monarch expressed his gratitude for the warm reception despite the short notice of his visit.

He commended the Controller for his remarkable service to the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), noting that his leadership has brought significant progress to the Command.

“I am impressed with the level of achievements and contributions Comptroller Adebisi has made to the Service. This visit is a testament to our shared values and a recognition of his exemplary commitment to national development,” the Ooni remarked.

In his response, Comptroller Adebisi expressed deep appreciation for the royal visit, describing it as a morale booster and an encouragement to continue striving for excellence.

He underscored the importance of collaboration and support from all sectors of society in fulfilling the mandate of the Nigeria Customs Service.

“The Ooni’s presence here today is a great honour. It shows the value of encouraging those serving the nation. I urge other paramount rulers to emulate this gesture by visiting their sons and daughters in service, as it inspires us to work harder for the greater good of our country,” he said.

Before departing, the Ooni of Ife offered royal and fatherly blessings to the Comptroller, officers, and men of the Command.

He also urged them to remain diligent in carrying out their statutory duties, emphasising the importance of discipline and dedication to national service.

The visit is seen as a strong affirmation of the Customs Area Command’s efforts under Comptroller Adebisi’s leadership to uphold the mission of the NCS by ensuring efficient border management and trade facilitation through collaborations.
