Overland Airways Introduces Embraer E175 Jets on Jalingo Route, Enhancing Comfort, Convenience

Overland Airways has announced the introduction of its brand-new Embraer 175 jet on the Jalingo route, marking a significant upgrade in its service offering.
The 88-seater modern jet aircraft, which features a dual-class configuration, is designed to provide travellers with enhanced comfort and convenience.
The Embraer 175 boasts Premium Class seats with spacious legroom, alongside a regular Economy Class, ensuring a more comfortable and refined travel experience for passengers.
This strategic fleet enhancement underscores Overland Airways’ commitment to improving passenger satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Speaking on the development, the airline highlighted its transition from an all-turboprop fleet to a mixed fleet, with the addition of the new Embraer E175 jets.
This move positions Overland Airways to offer greater flexibility and enhanced service on both short and medium-haul routes.
“This is a milestone for Overland Airways and a testament to our dedication to providing unparalleled convenience and comfort to our Jalingo travellers. The introduction of the Embraer 175 reflects our commitment to staying at the forefront of aviation excellence in Africa,” the airline said in a statement.
The introduction of the new jets follows Overland Airways’ successful renewal of its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification for the fifth consecutive time in October 2024.
The IOSA certification, a globally recognised safety standard, reaffirms Overland Airways’ position as one of Africa’s safest and most reliable carriers.
“Our continuous IOSA certification renewal demonstrates our unwavering commitment to the highest safety and operational standards. This achievement, coupled with the introduction of the Embraer 175, strengthens our position as a leading African carrier,” the airline added.
Overland Airways’ latest fleet expansion aligns with the airline’s broader strategy of enhancing customer experience and operational capacity across its network.
The airline said it remains committed to connecting key destinations in Nigeria and beyond, providing passengers with safe, comfortable, and efficient travel options.
