PTML Customs Revenue Soars to N424.5bn as COWA PTML Chapter Donates Food Items to Women, Children
The Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded a remarkable revenue performance, generating a total of N424,584,608,992.26 as of Friday, 12 December 2025, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Joe Anani, has disclosed.
Comptroller Anani made the disclosure at the 2025 end-of-year party organised by the Customs Officers Wives Association (COWA), PTML Chapter, where he described the achievement as a major milestone for the command.
He noted that the figure represents a significant improvement over the command’s 2024 total revenue of N362.5 billion, with an increase of over N62 billion, even before the close of the year.
According to him, the impressive performance reflects the growing efficiency of the command and the positive prospects associated with the full implementation of the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), also known as B’Odogwu.

He expressed optimism that the deployment of the system would further enhance revenue generation, transparency and trade facilitation.
Describing 2025 as an eventful and productive year, Comptroller Anani said the PTML Command recorded several operational and strategic achievements under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, PhD.
He disclosed that the command is positioning itself to achieve a one-hour cargo clearance time for compliant Roll-On Roll-Off (RoRo) cargoes by 2026, in line with global best practices.
On anti-smuggling operations, the Area Controller recalled the command’s successes in intercepting illicit and expired drugs, arms and ammunition, as well as other prohibited items capable of endangering the lives and security of Nigerians.
He described the seizure of cocaine valued at N29.4 billion, which was subsequently handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), as one of the most significant anti-smuggling feats recorded by the command.
Comptroller Anani attributed the command’s overall achievements to the strong support it enjoys from both government and private sector stakeholders.
He specifically appreciated the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and other sister agencies for their continued collaboration and support.
Also speaking at the event, the Chairperson of COWA, PTML Chapter, Mrs Caroline Ifeoluwa Anani, described the end-of-year party as a reflection of the command’s enduring tradition of unity and togetherness.
She said 2025 had been a highly eventful year, with COWA playing a critical role in supporting the productivity and well-being of officers at the command.
According to her, a productive workforce is closely linked to a stable and supportive home environment.
She highlighted several initiatives undertaken by the PTML Chapter of COWA during the year, including mental health awareness programmes, blood pressure and blood sugar tests, eye screening and treatment, as well as the donation of medicated glasses.
Mrs Anani also revealed that the association organised seminars on home management, food and nutrition, family care products, and provided souvenirs for the spouses of COWA members at the PTML Command.
The highlight of the event was the donation of food items by the COWA PTML Chapter to women and children, in the spirit of Christmas and in line with the association’s commitment to community support and humanitarian service.
