Qatar Airways begins flight service to Abuja

Qatar Airways expands its network to Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, as it will begin flight service to the capital city via Lagos from 27 November 2020.

The airline announced that Abuja service will be operated three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays using a Boeing 787 offering 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.

The flight schedule shows Doha (DOH) to Abuja (ABV) Flight QR1419 will depart Doha at 01:10 and arrive Abuja at 11:35 local time, while Flight QR1420 will depart Abuja at 16:20 and arrive Doha at 05:35 +1 local time.

With flights to more than 85 destinations in Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, passengers travelling to and from Nigeria can now enjoy seamless connectivity via Doha.

Passengers on the new service can look forward to warm African hospitality onboard with the carrier’s multi-cultural cabin crew including more than 30 African nationalities.

Additionally, passengers across the airline’s network can also enjoy a variety of African movies, TV shows, and music on Oryx One, Qatar Airways’ in-flight entertainment system.

By mid-December, Qatar Airways will operate over 65 weekly flights to 20 destinations in Africa, including Accra, Addis Ababa, Cape Town, Casablanca, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Durban, Entebbe, Johannesburg, Kigali, Kilimanjaro, Lagos, Luanda, Maputo, Mogadishu, Nairobi, Seychelles, Tunis, and Zanzibar.

African travellers on Qatar Airways can now enjoy new baggage allowances ranging from 46 Kg for Economy Class split over two pieces and 64 Kg split over two pieces in Business Class.

This initiative is designed to offer passengers more flexibility and comfort, the airline announced.
