SAHCO Secures Ground Handling Contract with Italian Airline NeosAir

Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC, Nigeria’s leading provider of ground handling services, has announced a new partnership with NeosAir, an Italian airline.

Head, Corporate Communications, Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO), Effective from 30 October 2024, SAHCO will support NeosAir’s weekly flights from Milan Malpensa Airport, Italy, to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The ground handling company explained that under the agreement, SAHCO will provide comprehensive ground handling services for NeosAir, including ramp handling, passenger and baggage management, cargo handling, and aircraft cleaning. 

The partnership underscores SAHCO’s readiness to meet NeosAir’s operational needs efficiently and safely, ensuring smooth turnarounds for flights at Nigeria’s busiest airport.

“We are thrilled to partner with NeosAir on this important venture,” stated Dr (Barr) Taiwo Afolabi (CON), Chairman of SAHCO. “This patronage reflects the trust and confidence NeosAir has in our capabilities. We are committed to delivering the highest quality of service to support their operations, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient ground handling for their flights.”

Dr Afolabi highlighted that SAHCO is ISAGO and RA3 certified, authorising the company to manage Europe-bound cargo and receive shipments from Europe. SAHCO’s reputation for top-tier ground handling is reinforced by its client roster, which includes several prominent airlines in Nigeria.

NeosAir, a private Italian airline and subsidiary of Alpitour S.p.A., operates out of its primary hub at Milan Malpensa Airport. The airline serves destinations across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America, with Lagos now added to its growing international network.
